Under the Residential Tenancies (Smoke Alarms and Insulation) Regulations 2016, landlords are obligated to ensure smoke alarms are in working order at the beginning of every new tenancy. All smoke alarms must be replaced when they expire or fail to work.

Quality House Inspections has built a proven inspection methodology over time and our inspectors are trained by a BOINZ (Building Officials Institute of New Zealand) Licensed & Accredited Building Surveyor. Our reports provide independent results for landlords and property managers.
- On-site Installation
We install / replace smoke alarms on site if required to ensure compliance and save your valuable time. We use one of the smallest wireless photoelectric smoke alarms, fancy and pretty.
- Re-assessment Reminder on Annual Basis
Quality House Inspections provides a monitoring plan for annual checkout. Follow-up reminders will be sent to clients to check the condition of their smoke alarms.
- Same Day Turnaround
Our standard turnaround time for Smoke Alarm Assessment reports is the same day of the inspection.

All works come with Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance to provide our clients with additional protection.
